SipSource Adds Depletion Data of Seven Wine & Spirits Wholesalers to Revolutionary Data Set

SipSource, the first and only source for wine and spirits distributor depletion data, today announced six new wholesaler companies will participate in the SipSource data set. With the addition of Fedway Associates, Great Lakes Wine & Spirits, Major Brands, Martignetti Companies, Moon Distributors, Opici Family Distributing and Virginia Imports, there are now 12 wholesalers who are currently sharing or have plans to start sharing their depletion data with SipSource.

The SipSource data provides aggregated distributor depletion data (sales to retailers) covering an expansive portfolio of wine and spirits products sold in all trade channels across the U.S. SipSource is built from the individual store and item level, and contains no sampling, projections, or estimates.

“The involvement of WSWA wholesalers is what sets SipSource apart. With their participation, SipSource provides distributor depletion data and never before seen insights into the wine and spirits industry,” said Michelle Korsmo, WSWA President and CEO. “With seven new wholesalers from across the country now participating, SipSource will provide a level of detail that will allow savvy users to gain a distinct competitive advantage.”

Current WSWA wholesaler companies contributing data to SipSource include: Breakthru Beverage Group, Lipman Brothers, Republic National Distributing Company, Southern Glazer’s Wine & Spirits and Young’s Market Company. SipSource will now have data from six of the top 10 wholesalers in the U.S., including the top four.

“Throughout my 35 years as an analyst in the wine and spirits industry with E&J Gallo, and then with Constellation Brands, I can confidently say that SipSource is an unprecedented tool to help companies take their businesses to the next level,” said Dale Stratton, SipSource Analyst. “Now that SipSource will include depletion data from 12 wholesalers around the country, including the top four U.S. distributors, this data set will continue to offer the most comprehensive and accurate view of trends in the wine and spirits industry– all without projections or estimates.”
